Turn Your Samsung Phone Into a Tablet With TransMaker

The TransMaker comes in two sizes: one has a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800-pixel display and a more expensive model has a 11.6-inch 1920 x 1080-pixel display. Both feature built-in batteries, attachable keyboards—for an extra fee—and a slot in the back where you slide in your Samsung smartphone to power up the device. Shenzhen Migoal also plans to sell a small Bluetooth-powered candy bar phone for making calls without pulling your smartphone out of the slot, since the accessory itself won’t be able to make or receive calls.
The company hopes to ship its first orders by March 2014, and even if it fails to raise $100,000 Shenzhen Migoal will still receive all donations—meaning you’ll still hopefully get your TransMaker. Our only worry is that the design might infringe on ASUS’s Padfone, which offers the same smartphone-into-tablet functionality as a stand-alone device. However, the Chinese company seems certain that its product is different enough to avoid any legal issues.

How to Install Android 4.4 KitKat ROM on Galaxy S2! [GT-i9100/SGH-i777]

Click on Play button above or Click Here to Download High-Quality HD video to your Smartphone or Computer.
This video was brought to you by AndroidRoot.org. Click Here to See at AndroidRoot.org or Click Here to See on YouTube
For those of you who want to install Android 4.4 KitKat custom ROMs on your Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 or SGH-i777 (AT&T S2), you must be using latest CWM Recovery v6.0.4.3 or higher.
Now since recovery is an integral part of kernel on the Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 and SGH-i777, you will have to flash a kernel with the latest CWM recovery v6.0.4.3 or higher.  The easy work-around this is to install any of latest CM10.2 ROMs then simply reboot into recovery after installing CM10.2, which will give you the latest CWM recovery since CM10.2 comes with it.
But I have made things even easier so you don’t have to spend a long time installing CM10.2, you can simply install CM10.2 kernel by using the zip files below.  I highly suggest to keep these files on your phone at all times so you will always have it to flash new Android 4.4 KitKat custom ROMs.

Step 1. Download the appropriate CWM Recovery ZIP file for your Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 or SGH-i777.  (If for some reason you do not have a custom recovery installed already on your phone, you can also grab the TAR version and flash it using ODIN.)
Download CWM Recovery ZIP for Galaxy S2
Put the ZIP file on your phone and also put the Android 4.4 KitKat ROM you want to install on your phone.
Power off your phone and reboot into your recovery by holding down Volume Up, Center Home, and Power buttons together for about 20 seconds.

Step 2. Once in recovery, choose “install zip” for CWM or choose “Install” for TWRP and browse your file system to install the ZIP file you downloaded earlier.
*Note – If you see CWM Recovery v6.0.4.3 or higher at this point, you may skip to Step 4.

Step 3. Once done installing, simply reboot into recovery using the advanced menu or you can also do it manually like you did in Step 1.

Step 4. Once rebooted, your should see CWM Recovery v6.0.4.3 or higher.  If you see that, you are good to go, just do a regular ROM install from there on in.  If you have trouble, watch our video tutorial above which walks you through a ROM install.

Pinguino – PIC microcontroller based Open Source

Pinguino is a PIC microcontroller based Open Source Hardware prototyping platform like Arduino ( AVR microcontroller based ). The Pinguino prototyping platform have a IDE same like Arduino, standard libraries and different prototyping boards to make it happens.

About Pinguino project

The Pinguino project was started in 2008 with a aim of making a Arduino like prototyping platform for PIC microcontroller.  In Arduino prototyping platform, the microcontrollers inside the boards doesn’t have a native USB interface on the chips. The Pinguno projects tries to overcome this problem with a PIC microcontroller with USB interface. Also the code length of Arduino programs in the old versions are littile messy.
The IDE of Pinguino is built with Python. At the beginning, an integrated preprocessor in Pinguino IDE translates specific Arduino instructions directly into C. This preprocessor reduces the code length and the execution speed and Pinguino hardware is based on a 18F2550. This chip has an integrated native USB module and an UART for serial link.

Pinguino IDE

Later the Pinguino IDE is become a stand alone application with a C compiler (SDCC), assembler and linker (GPUTILS) and a bootloader based on the PUF VASCO project.
pinguino-ide
Also now this Pinguino IDE is available for different operating systems like Windows, Mac os x and Linux. This IDE can support 8 bit and 32 bit Pinguino hardware.
We can download Pinguino IDE from Pinguino wiki page at here.

TTL/RS232

TTL, RS232, DCE, DTE......
This is where you can find informations and learn how to connect your Pinguino with a computer or a modem on a serial port.

The Pinguino serial I/O is TTL level ( 0..5V ). It can not be directly connected with an RS232 equipment.
If you want to connect it with a computer, wich is a DTE ( Data Terminal Equipment ), you need to build this converter:

This converter use only discrete components. NPN transistor can be used, such as 2N1711, 2N2222 etc...
Note that the DB9 connector is a female connector because DB9 on Data Terminal Equipment is always a Male connector.
This converter can be powered with a 3,3V or a 5V power supply.

If you want to connect Pinguino with a Modem, wich is a DCE ( Data Communication Equipment ), you need to build this version:

Some libraries are still under development by the Pinguino Dev. Team (Ethernet & Android ADK) and some others will not be supported due to a lack of time or a lack of interest (SoftwareSerial, Matrix & Sprite). You're welcome to provide these "unsupported" libraries to the community ;o)
Most of the libraries are enriched with specific Pinguino instructions (for example, you can use Serial.printf with the Serial library).
32-bit Pinguino programs are compiled with a C/C++ Compiler which is a GNU-Mips toolchain based on GCC 4.5.2, binutils 2.21 and Newlib 1.19.
8-bit Pinguino uses the SDCC 3.2.1 compiler which is only for C language. As Arduino mainly uses C++ there are necessarily substancial differences versus Pinguino.
