Xperia Arc S Ics 4.0.4 Easiest Root method for Locked/Unlocked bootloaders

I am the Dev who applied this method and was the first one to find out about this, just with too many threads on that site being posted with same title my thread got deleted still need not to worry the Official thread with pics has been moved to : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1683957
Just to add on i can post my steps here (only for arc s) :
people who have not got 4.0.4 update yet and need root on 4.0.3 ics here are the steps :
just check mark usb debugging on phone and check unknown sources, connect phone to pc .
Run Root Exploit One Click “run me” batch file: http://www.4shared.com/zip/kx8Ezp1G/…_OneClick.html
Phone will restart 2-3 times, its ok and then You will have root on ics 4.0.3 …..
Now i would suggest that people install 4.0.4 update of their country specific generic from sony pc camp once released… because it might be the most improved one and with less bloatwares (junk system apps like adobe reade, office, etc)
So once you are on Ics 4.0.4 and want to root it aswell with its kernel in the end. Here are the steps:
Install flashtools 0.6.8 or any higher version though i just use this one and works fine (google it or download it from xda) .
Download/extract and drag 4.0.3 kernel ftf file to flashtools. http://uploaded.to/file/ngs9ac6s
You will get a pop-up do as the pop up says in flashtools… it will install 4.0.3 kernel and then turn your phone on..
Then run Root Exploit One Click “run me” batch file: http://www.4shared.com/zip/kx8Ezp1G/…_OneClick.html to get root just .
Then in flashtools drag the 4.0.4 complete setup ftf file

Un-check all options and just keep the 4.0.4 kernel check marked ..
There you will have it! 4.0.4 Ics With 4.0.4 kernel and with root !!

Pre-Requisites

1. Sony Xperia ARC
2. PC with internet connection and USB cable for connectivity
3. The device must have 70% battery power.
4. Disable the security in your computer and uninstall them in your phone to avoid unnecessary interruption.
5. Back up your phone data such as SMS, MMS, contacts, call logs, multimedia etc with KIES or through any medium, so that they don’t get wiped out during procedure.
6. Tap on Settings-> Security-> tick Unknown sources. Don’t forget to untick USB Debugging after everything is completed.
7. Enable the USB Debugging by tapping on Settings-> Applications-> Development-> tick the USB debugging. Don’t forget to untick USB Debugging after everything is completed.
8. Enable MSC Mode by tapping on Settings-> Xperia-> connectivity-> USB connection mode-> tick MSC mode.

Steps to root Sony Xperia ARC on Latest ICS 4.0.4 Firmware

Step 1: Download the latest Flashtool in your computer.
Step 2: Download the kernel in your computer.
Step 3: After downloading visit the path C:/ Drive-> flashtool-> firmwares-> and then delete the existing data and place the kernel.
Step 4: Up next run the Flash tool and click on flashing icon which is on left side and then choose the flash mode and then click on OK.
Step 5: Well after the step, choose from the following and select OK. Follow the instruction appear on screen.
Step 6: Through USB cable connect the device and remind that no apps must be running during the rooting procedure. You will see that the Sony logo stays on screen which means that the process is going on and please don’t close in the middle of the rooting process.
Step 7: After rooting is complete, the device will get rebooted automatically. If the phone is not rooted then again root the device by following the steps but carefully.
